Description
Boy Scouts - Milwaukee - Camping and Hiking
Scouts learned about lashing stretchers to helicopters for rescue work in one phase of the camporee which was attended by more than 6,000 Boy Scouts and leaders at Grant park over the week end. The helicopter and the pilot were on loan from the 32nd division, Wisconsin national guard. Scouts were told how such an aircraft could be used in taking injured persons off high places. Some of the other activities at the camporee are shown in these pictures taken on the two days.
