Description
Three architectural styles are found in this view. In the foreground is a building almost completely remodeled in functional style 15 years ago. Behind it rises the St. Mary's Catholic church tower, done in 1867 and based on German architecture of the time. Next, the new municipal building, again in functional style. And last, the old city hall, a grab bag mixture of renaissance and romanesque forms. - Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Buildings downtown
