It's a shantytown on the outskirts of Paris, but it's now home for these Portuguese immigrants. Many of western Europe's migrant workers from the poorer countries are used to low living standards at home and they accept slum conditions abroad. They can save more money that way. But they are also often victims of rent gougers. And cities that pride themselves on modern housing sometimes have thousands of foreigners living in suburban shantytowns. Immigrants-Foreign
