Nigeria Radio broadcast a statement 1/16 by Aguiyi-Ironsi during which he claimed most of regular army was loyal and troops were searching for Federal Prime Minister Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and his Finance Minister, who were kidnapped by rebels.
