Description
Serious riots broke out in Brussels and many people were injured when thousands of members of the Rexist party - the semi-Fascist organization - defied the government ban on their proposed demonstration and participation in the Yser battle commemoration ceremony organized by Belgian ex-servicemen. Extra police and troops were drafted into the city. Photo shows mounted troops riding into Brussels from the Parc de Wijngaard to deal with the rioters.
