Description
Elena Arroyo, an Otomi Indian girl, was born seven years ago in a remote Mexican village without ears and for that reason some tribesmen told her parents they should kill her. But a missionary took her to Oklahoma City where an operation gave her hearing for the first time and made it possible for her to learn to speak. Realistic Industries in Oakland heard of the girl's plight and offered to donate a pair of artificial ears and this week Elena received them at Oakland, California.
