Fifty Years of service to the U.S. Army by Col. Eberhard P. Deutsch (U.S. Retired), New Orleans attorney, were acknowledged with the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation for Patriotic Civilian Service at a special honor guard ceremony at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Lt. Gen. Thomas W. Dunn, commander of the Fourth Army, presented the award, which cited Deutsch for "dedicating himself and his outstanding abilities as an attorney and community leader to further Army objectives... "The recipient is now a civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army.
