Sidney Brewer (back to camera) serves one of his many customers through the protective bars he installed following a recent robbery at his hardware store Gentilly. Brewer has been in the hardener business for over 30 years. He says the bars give him a certain feeling of protection, and most of his regular customers don't mind them. According to Brewer, if he knows a person he doesn't mind letting them into the store to look around. He says the bars were only made to keep the unwanted persons out of the store.
