Washington- One of the Senate's most influential Republicans said Wednesday that President Johnson's Vietnam policies grew out of brainwashing by military leaders. Senator Thruston B. Morton of Kentucky, in perhaps the strongest attack to date by a Republican moderate on the President's war policies, said the United States cannot win a military victory in Vietnam and already has lost its chance to forge a political solution.
