White House Press Secretary Ron Nessen listens reflectively at a press conference in the Executive Office Building in Washington back in May, 1975. Now he's one of those about to lose power as a new administration takes over. Whatever the regrets, one thing, Nessen, a media man himself, won't miss his combat with the White House media. Although, he says, reporters may be compassionate individuals, "as a group, they are slow to forgive and forget."
