A number of the winners in the annual Item ROSCOE Awards contest have collected their prize trophies. Object of the contest was to see who could name the most winners of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Oscars. During the contest, the ROSCOES were displayed in eight New Orleans stores. They were Alexander's Quality Furniture and Appliances, Atlas Sewing Center, Inc., Gulf Furniture Co., Inc., Jefferson Plumbing and Appliances.
