United Nations, New York, July 22 - West votes for Japanese resolution - Sir Pierson Dixon, center, Britain's delegate and Henry Cabot Lodge, right of the United States vote in favor of the Japanese resolution on the Middle East crisis in the Security Council today. At left is Russia's Arkady Sobolev who a moment later exercised Russia's 85th veto in the Security Council to kill the resolution and end hopes of any immediate solution to the situation.
