Martin, Jr., (left) of Massachusetts, the permanent chairman of the Republican national convention opening tomorrow. Martin said he told Eisenhower "everyone will have a fair chance," but he wouldn't talk about the big dispute between Eisenhower and Senator Robert A. Taft over changing convention rules concerning contested delegates.
