Description
Pula's Roman amphitheater once held 23,000 spectators. Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia - The hotel room was cell-like. Barely room enough for a single bed and a small dresser and wardrobe. But no matter. It came equipped with a tiny balcony offering what must be one of the world's most wonderful views. The clear, blue Adriatic, sparkling in the September un and fringed by a snowy limestone beach, and, projecting into the sea on the right, the cream-colored walls and red tile roofs of the medieval city of Dubrovnik.
