NY Mr & Mrs James A Farley with their daughters Ann at left age 7 and Betty, 10 around the piano in their Manhattan home as they sing Happy Days on hearing that Genial Jim had been named the next Postmaster General by President elect Roosevelt. James A Farley was manaeer of Roosevelt's Presidential campaign, and is also chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Before that he was a state boxing commissioner. In his new post he will be key man in distributing thousands of federal patronage jobs. His wife, the former Elizabeth Finnegan, will assume a new important place in the Capita; social whirl. The girls will be among the youngest of the Cabinet children in Washington
