Posthumous award being given Mrs Ruth W Gilliland, widow f 1st Lt Don J Gilliland who lived in San Antonio. He was killed during volunteer bombing mission over Kiska. Mrs Gilliland got Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart from Col Ralph E Spake, commanding officer Ferrying Division of Air Transport m, during military review today. Capt JM Simpson, Ret of US Cavalry, San Antonio resident is grandfather of deceased pilot.
